  1. Team USA has placed second in overall medals during the Sochi Olympic Games with 28, and their only medal on Sunday came in the four-man bobsled as the team finished with a bronze medal. The United States’ nine gold medals were the fourth-most in the Sochi games.
  2. One of America’s most popular NASCAR drivers has won the Daytona 500 for the second time after surviving the rain and bad driving conditions on Sunday, Feb. 23. Dale Earnhardt Jr. broke a 55-race winless streak with the victory, a race he last won a decade ago.
  3. Chris Bosh scored 28 points — 12 of them from 3-pointers — and grabbed 10 rebounds to push the Heat past the Chicago Bulls Sunday, Feb. 23, while LeBron James sat on the sideline with a broken nose. Miami won 93-79 and gave Greg Oden his first NBA start since 2009.
