‘Tis the Season with Andy Leftwich
Andy Leftwich, a popular American fiddler, is playing with his wife and friends at the Logos Theatre in Taylors on Dec. 13 and 14. They will perform bluegrass, acoustic and gospel music inspired by Leftwich’s fellow artists to celebrate the birth of Christ. Attend for a mix of Christmas classics and meaningful melodies. Festival of Trees
The Festival of Trees is a yearly tradition for many Greenville residents. Local organizations, schools and florists compete in decorating trees displayed at the Hyatt Regency, 220 N. Main St., and the Courtyard by Marriott, 50 W. Broad St. The elementary school students at Bob Jones Academy decorate a tree as well. The trees can be viewed during hotel lobby open hours.
Exhibit Drop-In Tour: White Christmas
Visit the Upcountry History Museum on Friday, Dec. 13 from 3:30 to 4 p.m. for a guided exhibit tour of props, backgrounds, original costumes and music from the classic 1954 “White Christmas.” Finish the experience with a test of your holiday movie knowledge through a rapid-fire trivia session. Greenville TD Saturday Market Holiday Edition
Several blocks north of Falls Park on the morning of Dec. 14, visit the holiday edition of Greenville’s TD Saturday Market from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This market transforms two blocks of downtown Greenville into a farmer’s market with 75 vendors. The holiday edition will focus on seasonal produce, specialty items and festive handmade crafts. Santa may even drop by.
Christmas at the Museum
Join the Greer Heritage Museum on Dec. 14 at 10:30 a.m. or 1 p.m. for “Christmas at the Museum.” The free event will look at the local history of Christmas, along with holiday treats and a free photo with friends in a winter photo booth. Also, bring canned and boxed foods to support local nonprofits. Free tickets can be reserved here.
The Nutcracker
Grab your tickets for a performance of “The Nutcracker” on Dec. 13, 14 or 15 at the Peace Center. The performance is a collaboration between International Ballet and the Greenville Symphony Orchestra. Tickets can be purchased here.
