The Bob Jones University Bruins achieved a rare feat Nov. 23, as the men’s and women’s soccer teams both captured NCCAA National Championship titles in Kissimmee, Florida.
After grueling, hard fought seasons, the Bruins achieved the pinnacle of success—dual national championships. With the men capturing their third title in four seasons and the women securing their second straight, both teams are sure to return hungry for more next season. With the foundation of these notable victories, the Bruins have proven their dominance and set the stage for even more success in the seasons to come.
The Bruins men’s team capped off their regular season with an impressive 17-2-2 record and followed it up with a perfect 3-0-0 performance in the NCCAA National Tournament. When asked about the Bruins’ performance throughout the season, Head Coach Greg Fulton replied, “The guys knew what they needed to do in order to get the job done, and they’ve been doing it all year.” And that’s exactly what the Bruins did in the national tournament—‘getting the job done’ in a dominant fashion. With such a strong finish, all of Bruin Nation will undoubtedly be fired up for the seasons ahead.
Later that night the Bruins women’s team captured their second straight NCCAA national title, defeating the Great Lakes Christian College Crusaders 5-0 in the championship game. With a 17-4-1 regular season record, the Bruins capped off their season with a flawless 3-0 performance in the NCCAA national tournament, ending the season on the highest note.
Following the championship game, Head Coach Chris Carmichael said, “Our team stepped up big time with a gutsy performance. … I couldn’t be more proud of this team.” Winning in such dominant fashion, right after the men’s team claimed their title, is an extraordinary achievement—one that will make the 2024 season unforgettable.
With both teams’ dominant performances in Kissimmee, the Bruins will carry momentum into the 2025 season, eager to defend their titles.
